Weekend Quick Cryptic 1 - A Lockdown Diversion

Thanks for this weekend quick cryptic John. I found it difficult to get started so went to the bottom and worked my way up and everything fell into place though I have never heard of the word scry so followed the cryptic and got Crystal but had to look it up to find why.
ReplyDeleteJohn - really good of you to step in to give us a Saturday QC. I struggled with 14a but it was the obvious solution. Once I had that, it validated several other answers. Having been frantically busy over recent months, I’ve been up to a week behind the QC’s and struggling to catch-up. Last weekend’s Fri/Mon mix up put me behind again and I only had one clue to solve from yesterday and after that popped in this morning it was great to have a new one for today.
