Some hints and tips:

• "Movement" is an anagram indicator in 16A.
• 18A could also be clued as "burning remains".
• You need to abbreviate "because" in 20A.
• In 1D "half-heartedly" indicates removing one of the pair of middle letters in a word.
• In 4D the note is the one that follows MI.
• In 6D Teddyis a bear.
