Weekend Quick Cryptic 4 - Summer Holidays by Johninterred

Thanks for all the encouraging comments for crosswords previously published here. Now I have a fellow compiler, (thank-you Phil!) we can try and provide a weekend Quick Crossword more regularly.     I enjoy a cup of tea after breakfast and do the QC and miss it on Saturday, so this starts the day well

    Really fun puzzle, thank you very much! Honestly, these are at least as good as the ones the pros often give us (and this one was stacks better than Breadman's yesterday). Since I'm off to the West Highlands on Monday I suspect I'll be seeing more 14s than 24, but there'll be plenty of 18 and 10 and if I'm lucky I'll catch a Sydney POLLACK or two.

    FOI SWIM, LOI FETE (this was so nearly a true clean sweep ... that was the only clue which needed a second visit), COD ... very hard to pick but with nods to PUTRID, RUMBA and VOICE I have to go for PHOBIA because it really made me chuckle. All done in 6:56 for a Very Good Day and an estimated 2.5 Phils.
