ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it.
DeleteBED OF ROSES, VICE PRESIDENT, LATRINE, and LIVID were favourites. Wasn't familiar with LOVE RAT but am now enlightened- thanks, Sawbill, great fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you. VICE PRESIDENT AND LATRINE were some of my favourites, too.
DeleteA most enjoyable puzzle which I found less demanding than some, finishing in 7 minutes. Noted the two capitals and was therefore alert to one of them possibly being money. Favourite clue was VICE PRESIDENT; very clever. Thank you Sawbill!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cedric.
DeleteGreat QC, just the right level. 1a went in straight away which helped. Was a bit slow on TOURMALINE. Liked Pence, LATRINE, BED OF ROSES, and COD LOI PLANKTON, among others.
ReplyDeleteThanks vm, SAWBILL.
Forgot to sign, Countrywoman
ReplyDeleteI did wonder whether I should leave out the word ‘Belgian’ in 1a to make it a little more difficult.
DeleteMost enjoyable thanks Sawbill. Nice surfaces and misdirection.
ReplyDeleteFavourites were VICE PRESIDENT, LATRINE (always enjoy toilet humour) and BED OF ROSES.
VP and LATRINE were fun but BED OF ROSES was a bit harder to clue.
DeleteVery enjoyable. Had to work hard on the 15a anagram to get it right - not an everyday word for me. Was foxed by 5a despite anticipating the answer to MINI because I fat-fingered Cario for Cairo - eventually spotted my error and then was proven correct. Doh!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrew.
DeleteVery enjoyable, and done relatively quickly, so double good. Favourites latrine, plankton mini, and under but lots of nice ones. Thanks v much. Chris and Francesca
ReplyDeleteThanks both
DeleteVery good as usual. Enjoyed "Latrine" which probably took far longer that it should have and "Evidence".
