Phil Jordan, Sawbill and I are continuing to produce our series of Quick Cryptic crosswords. We take turns, publishing one a fortnight, and this week it's my turn.
This time it is my turn to provide the fortnightly Weekend Quick Cryptic crossword, Number 103 in the series, entitled "A Girl's Adventures".

An exciting day today. Our kitchen and utility room surfaces have been installed!
Dawn cut the grass for the second time in a week this morning so this afternoon we laid out the croquet set and had a game or two.
I was asleep in bed at about 11:15pm last night when I was woken by Dawn. "We can see the Aurora Borealis!"
While I was out walking yesterday the flooring people came. "It looks lovely", joked Dawn as I came through the door. The levelling compound they had put down before had interacted with what was under the old tiles and created lots of bubbles - not an ideal surface to stick the new tiles to, so they did it again... but then of course they didn't have time to lay the tiles. I'm hoping they will be back early next week to do it.
Today 11 of us did our penultimate leg of the St Edmund Way, stage six of seven - postponed from last month to allow the route to dry out.
With the "templater" being off ill on Friday and the bank holiday weekend we hadn't had any tradesmen in to work on the kitchen for a few days, which gave Dawn a chance to complete the painting doing the doors, radiator and skirting boards in gloss and adding a second coat to the Bond Street Blue wall in the utility room.
Today, while Dawn continued with the painting of the kitchen, I joined Joyce and others for the 3 Churches Walk.

Today we had a lovely sunny walk from Aldeburgh via Snape Maltings to Stratford St. Andrew.
