Still Not Quite

Yesterday, when I was in Cambridge, The Floor Dimension fitter came to fir the carpet edger and sort the bits that hadn't stuck down properly.

Then today Dawn rehung the kitchen door into the hall. But there was a problem... The carpet edger is higher than the one before and the door wouldn't shut.

So a quick order of a circular saw from Argos, collected immediately, a bit of practice on bits of wood, and Dawn sliced about 1 cm off the bottom of the door. And then... Ta Da!

But we still have a last bit of flooring missing.

The fitter didn't have a wider strip to cut to shape at the end yesterday, so has left us with some bare floor. Grr. I hope they come and finish it soon!
