While I was out walking yesterday the flooring people came. "It looks lovely", joked Dawn as I came through the door. The levelling compound they had put down before had interacted with what was under the old tiles and created lots of bubbles - not an ideal surface to stick the new tiles to, so they did it again... but then of course they didn't have time to lay the tiles. I'm hoping they will be back early next week to do it.
Today we had another visit from Carl the electrician. We needed a new fuse box for the new circuit for the induction hob, so he installed that and then had to check all the circuits so he could sign the safety certificate.
He will be back when the work surfaces are installed and the induction hob with them.
