Struggled mightily with 13d - greatest looked too tempted to see past even if it didn't parse. You hit my level with ALBUM and NO CAN DO, Sawbill - great stuff!
ReplyDeleteThank you. NO CAN DO was fun to clue
DeleteLovely puzzle Sawbill and you got me with GATE. I opted for GUTS being GUESTS with the centre removed. GATE is a very good clue and a hidden of course.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed working out OBTAINED and ORNAMENT (my POI)
Nice to see some schoolboy humour in 5d, 6d and 11a.
Thanks Ian. Originally I had: Opening meeting at Exhibition Centre. The beta testers helped to refine it.
DeleteFinished all correct but had to think about GATE, which gave me TOTAL, and finally worked out Pine for SPINE. CNP - Forgot about hedgehogs. Liked the BALLET, the DOOR, VENTURES, NO CAN DO, among others.
ReplyDeleteThanks vm, Sawbill and John.
Countrywoman
Thank you. The door was a little difficult to clue.
DeleteNice crossword thanks Sawbill. Gave up without being able to get 13d, but only because I was called to go out for the afternoon. Tricky one, but clear enough in retrospect.
ReplyDeletePlease can someone help me out with the new TfTT link? I thought I had captured them yesterday, but one of the ones I have gets "site unavailable", and the other gives me a May 2022 page.
Also the "subscribe" link on this site is also giving me gobbledegook.
Thank you. I can only give you the temporary link until the migration has finished tomorrow. Try: https://fky.yin.mybluehost.me/website_2c9c4962/
DeleteThanks - I hadn't realised it wasn't complete, I will wait until tomorrow.
DeleteThanks, Sawbill, good fun as per usual!
ReplyDeleteSo pleased that you enjoy them
DeleteWe did this a week late, and greatly enjoyed. No can do, to let and album stood out. Belated thanks, chris and Francesca
