Today we did a favourite walk from Fornham All Saints, based on this one in 2019.
This was the invite from Joyce.
Plenty of familiar paths today and yet another lovely day for walking. Dawn and I arrived at The Coffee House ready to walk having had our coffee at home to find we had a good crowd today of 12... and a dog.
They have a giant penny outside. I don't know why.
Off we went through Fornham All Saints and past the eponymous All Saints church, but we didn't visit.
Nor did we visit the equally eponymous St. Martin's church. Nope. No snowdrops to be seen here.
I had a peek at the garden of the listed Little Park, but didn't see any snowdrops here either.
We crossed the busy A134 and followed Farm drift towards Hall Farm. But it was one too many cafés to keep going to the Folk café, so we turned left just before the farm.
Now we headed for Ampton Racecourse, last visited on this walk just 2 days ago. I see the second (and final) race meet of the year is on the 5th March.
Instead we crossed the A134 again and passed the Brewshed brewery. Behind it we found a new reservoir, presumably for the new greenhouse down the road.
It's certainly big!
"Saturday Feb 12th Snowdrop Walk. Nick and Joyce are offering a 9.5-10 mile circular walk from The Coffee House, Moseleys Business Centre, Fornham All Saints IP28 6JY.
Please enjoy refreshments at The Coffee House (coffee/sausage rolls etc) before we set off at 11am. We have permission to park there. Please bring snacks/drinks as we will have a short break for lunch on the route! Dogs are welcome on this walk. "
This was our route today.
Here are a few of my photos.
The Coffee House was quite busy.
