We've been on holiday in Jersey with some of Joyce's Weekly Walks group for a week walking (most of) the Jersey Tidal Trail around the perimeter of the island and visiting a few of the sights.
Today we returned to England, but as our flight wasn't until late afternoon we had a morning for a final bit of sightseeing. While some went to walk the Railway Path from St Aubin to Corbiere lighthouse, Dawn, Alicia, Dan, Shaun and I had a gentle meander through St. Helier, visiting the fish market, main market, Harbour gallery, Jersey museum Yard cafe, Church Street gallery and Royal Square. Meanwhile Joyce sent us the photo at the top of the post. Here are a few of my photos.
The fish market.
The market.
The Viennese bakery was a favourite and we ended up back here for our lunch.
The little train, which we saw in St. Aubin on Thursday.
The tide was out.
The Harbour Gallery was more of a shop than a gallery.
The entrance to the Yard at the Jersey museum.
Part of the stamp collection.
The 8 Church Street gallery opened at 12. Some interesting peices.
Royal Square.
Lunch back at the Viennese bakery in the market.

What a great week away. Thank-you Joyce for organising the trip and leading us around the coast and to everyone else for the great company.
