Another Fond Farewell

Seemingly hard on the heels of the previous one, we had another family bereavement, my father-in-law, Peter. His children did him proud and the family turned out in force at the crematorium and then at the wake at The Forest Inn.
We travelled up on Thursday, collecting Sarah from York University on the way, arriving about 6:30 pm.

The family get-together continued into the night on Friday and we returned home yesterday. It was a lovely venue and the food and drink were excellent, as was the Friday night live music, provided by Gaz Keeton of the Blue Star Tattoo Band.

Here are some of my photos.

The young girl cousins... without Rosie

Composing the card for the flowers.

Dawn being master of ceremonies.

Is Eliza hungry, perhaps?

I rather liked this view through the rain-streaked window.

The views outside were quite spectacular.

Uncle David was locked up by Lola!

We had a good party to send him off.

 Our evening entertainment.

Sisters!

The girls got a rose each to take home.

This was the card from Laura, Sarah and William.

Well we gave him a good send-off, with many happy memories shared. Farewell Peter Jepson. You will be missed.
You can see more in my album on Flickr.
