My friend Tim had noticed this was on and a couple of weeks ago we booked our places to visit the Friday afternoon session.
Dawn gave us a lift there and back and we had a pleasant 2 1/2 hours sampling their beers.
Artefact is a small brewery. In fact it all fits in a shipping container!
We were first to arrive and they weren't quite ready for their 3pm opening time.
Here are a few photos. There was plenty of room for parking and sitting.
They were still hooking up the keg beers, but we were able to have some of the draught ales.
It was just Time and myself for the first 20 minutes or so before others came.
Eventually they had their beer list on display and the bar staff didn't have to ask the price of everything before charging us.
There was a coffee stand too , but we didn't see anyone using it.
I brought along my own reusable plastic beer glass from the
Bedford River Festival last weekend, That cost me £1 then, but here they weren't charging for 'glasses' and just asked people to return them when they left.
We called Dawn at about 5:30 for our lift home. It was still not very busy. I bet it will be be a lot busier tonight, tomorrow and Sunday.
I lovely selection of beers and a very pleasant summer afternoon. Favourites included
Thank-you Tim for the company and Dawn for the lifts there and back.
You can read all about the brewery and its beers on its website here.
