Ukichi Kuri - First Fruits

I mentioned previously that our garden was getting taken over by these Japanese Squash plants. We thought we'd harvest a couple. Don't they look pretty?


We had half of one with our Sunday roast dinner. I cut it into pieces and drizzled with a little olive oil to which I'd added a little runny honey and dried thyme and roasted for about 20 minutes.

Delicious!
