Paxton Pits Walk

Today I met up with an old college friend who lives in Northamptonshire to do a walk somewhere between our respective abodes. We chose a walk published by the Caravan Club, at Little Paxton , near St. Neots and Grafham Water, but started it at Paxton Pits Nature Reserve rather than the Caravan Site.

This was our route...

The reserve and its lakes are rather nice...

...but most of the walk was rather a disappointment as it was rather overgrown, with nettles nearly head-high in places and rather restricted views of the river. The highlight, though was lunch at the rather impressive Buckden Marina.

You can find more details of the route in my Map My Walk log  and see other photos from our walk on Flickr.
