Clitheroe

This weekend we had a trip to Clitheroe for the christening of our great-niece Florence. We stayed with Jane and David at a rather nice rental place - 5 Saddlers Mews. We drove up on Friday afternoon and met up with everyone at The Emporium for a meal.

Here is Dawn and her sisters, and. further along our niece Rose and Floernce's Mum Emma.

It was girls one side and boys the other, with brother-in-laws David and Ian, grand-nephew Harry and nephew Chris holding young Florence.

This was our place.

In the morning we had a stroll around the town and visited the market and castle. It was a lovely sunny day and the views from the castle were magnificent.

After the christening (q.v.) we had an evening meal at Tom's Table... all of 10 yards from our front door!

The meal was delicious. Sadly, it is back to school for Dawn tomorrow so we had to come home today without climbing Pendle Hill. Maybe next time.
