Jilly and Ian Visit Suffolk

For the last few days we have had Dawn's sister Jilly and her husband Ian visiting us.

Here are a few photos.

On Saturday, Jonathan, Natalie and Eliza and Lola came for the day. As usual there wer plenty of games, including several rounds of 5 Second Rule.

On Sunday we took Jilly and Ian to visit Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh.

The clouds looked ominous and, sure enough, we had to shelter from some rain for a while.

While Dawn and Jilly browsed the antiques shop, I visited the Early Music shop and admired the instruments.

The place was very busy as there was a concert given by the CBSO happening at 5pm and we couldn't get a table for at the cafes or pub at The Maltings, but we had an excellent lunch at the Golden Key in the heart of Snape village.

We then went toAldeburgh and I found a free parking spot close to the Moot Hall.

We took a ride in this horse-drawn carriage to Thorpeness and back, which was great fun.

Dawn took Jilly onto the beach to see the Angel of the East.

No time for fish&chips...

...as we had to get home in time to watch the Women's Euros final... Well done the lionesses!
