Mildenhall Woods Walk

 

Today we had a short walk in Mildenhall Woods.

This was the invite from Joyce.

"Monday July 21st. We will park/meet at Walkers Snack bar, Mildenhall/Barton Mills at 1.30pm which is on the A1065 road to Brandon off the Fiveways Roundabout.  Whats3words///ranks.goofy.starter. (basic toilets here and snack bar). I am planning to have a drink from the snack bar, before we start walking.  I have mapped out a gentle circular walk about 6 miles which stays mainly in Mildenhall Woods and Warren so plenty of shade and tree cover. This area is very special to me as my dad worked many hours here for the Forestry Commission. It has an abundance of wild flowers and butterflies at the moment (if the sun is out).We will then re-park near my mum’s house (1.5 miles drive), for a social time of sandwiches, cream scones and drinks at approx 4pm." 

This was our route.

We were lucky with the weather and didn't get any showers until the end of the social.
