P is for Permissive Paths...

 ...Plus Plentiful Pesky Persistent Precipitation.

This was the invite from Joyce.

"Thursday July 24th P for Permissive Paths. This will be a linear walk from Wattisfield to Ixworth. It is 11 miles and includes at least 3 PP’s. One of the highlight’s is Woosters Bakery at Wyken vineyards which will be our coffee/lunch stop. Please park at Ixworth Village Hall, free carpark, High Street, IP31 2HH. Usually, toilets are available at the village hall. The bus leaves from the High Street at 9.51am. If you don’t have a bus pass then the single trip does cost £3. We arrive at Wattisfield at 10.03am. We then have a very rural walk over to Wyken Vineyards. After our stop there is some road walking and we may encounter some harvesting too. Pls bring usual packed lunch and drinks and use Woosters as a ‘top-up’".

This was our route today.

Here are a few of my photos.

By now my camera was starting to misbehave as some water had got in, but at least I kept it drier than my clothes - I had to have a complete change of clothing when I got home. Wish I'd brought my brolly!

Thank-you Joyce for leading us round and to the others for the additional company. A pity the "light rain" in the forecast turned out not to be as light as we would have liked.
