Bradfield Woods Spring Flowers

Now is a great time to visit Bradfield Woods, a perennial favourite of ours. Dawn and I had a walk their this morning in the lovely spring sunshine.

Read about when we visited last year here and the year before here. Once again we saw a carpet of wood anemones and the bluebells were out, along with early purple orchids, oxlips, water avens, violets, celandines, primroses and many more. Here are a few pictures.

There was plenty of birdsong too. I managed to spot this blackcap, which was trating us to its delightful fluting song.

The mass of bluebells.

What a joy!
