Mount Road Wildflowers

Today I had another Taste Test at Good Sense Research and, as usual, walked there and back, which meant going down the hill (and then back up afterwards) along Mount Rd. Can you see what I spotted in the unmown grass verge?

I kept my eyes peeled for the wild flowers beside the path and was rewarded with, alongside the common plants and sainfoin I noted before in 2021 (see here) and 2020 (see here), some more pyramidal orchids...

...and a couple of bee orchids, although I managed to get a decent photograph with my phone of only one of them.

I think they are becoming my favourite late spring/early summer flowers.
