The Stolen Lamb Chops

This was a bit of an unfortunate mix-up.

While at Jilly and Ian's we had a wander around Clitheroe and I visited the famous Cowman's sausage shop on Saturday.

The had lots to choose from in the window...

...and even more inside. That's their full list on the board.

I bought some red wine and smoked garlic pork sausages and they were put on the top shelf of the fridge until we came home on Sunday.

But we got a call from Jilly early that evening. "You've taken our lamb chops!", she said. It was to have been their Sunday dinner. Instead, they were left with our lovely sausages. We had taken the package out of the fridge, but had the wrong one. Oh dear! Sorry about that.

So tonight we had some lovely lamb chops for our evening meal. I did a griddled lamb and wild rice recipe and opened a nice bottle of Argentinian red wine to go with it.
