Hadleigh to Kersey Walk - Short Version

It was a Friday and Laura had taken a day off to visit us for the day on her way to meet Lawrence for the weekend. William was busy studying, but the rest of us went for a walk. I scoped out a shorter version (about 6 miles) of Joyce's recent Hadleigh and Kersey walk.

This was our route today.

Here are a few of my photos.

We started from the same car park we had used last time and walked along the river and into Hadleigh.

The girls were impressed by the Guildhall...

...and we spent some time admiring the stained glass windows in the church, including this modern one.

As we were about to cross the river again, we spotted thyis little goat. and feathered friends.

Over the river and we were on our way to Kersey.

Hard to photograph but we think this is red kite.

we passed the, familiar to me, yellow house in Kersey Vale and came to Kersey.

The girls liked the "village  shop".

We called in at The Bell hoping to have lunch, but they were fully booked until 2:15, so we just had a drink.

But I hatched a cunning plan. We had time to walk back to Hadleigh and then drive back to The Bell for lunch at 2:15. So that's what we did.

No there's nothing to see in the stream here either!

And here we are nearly back with plenty of time to get back to Kersey for our table booking.

The food was yummy! And Dawn offered to drive so I could have another beer. Yes. A lovely day out!
