A Swinging Christmas 2023

This has become a bit of a regular annual celebration of Christmas coming soon.

Last night Dawn and I went to the perennial Swinging Christmas concert from the "Jazz at the Movies" ensemble.

It was a near sell-out with only a handful of unoccupied seats and as great as ever.
Here are a few of my photos from the upper balcony where we were seated.

The concert started with a medley based on Deck the Halls.

They were soon joined by Joanna.

"Let it snow" required a trio of singers.

As is traditional, George fronted a novelty Christmas Song. This year's was "The bell that lost its Jingle".

George got to do his drum solo close to the end.

The encore involved the whole house joining in with "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas".

Despite our exhortations the weather forecast says we are going to be disappointed this year here in Bury St. Edmunds on Monday.

But never mind. It was a great night out once again.. Thanks Chris, George, Jo, Joanna and Mark. And now it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
