Frome Day Out

Today we had a day out in the lovely town of Frome. It is only about 15 miles from Sue's house, but she had never stopped to explore. Sister Kirsty and husband David came down from Yate to join us.. and they hadn't visited Frome either. I got a map and ended up leading us around the sights.

Here are a few of my photos...

We parked at the Cattle Market by the River Frome.

Any bowl a pound.

There are several pedestrianised narrow mediaeval streets full of interesting shops and eateries.

St. John's Church is well worth a visit.

Gentle Street

Some of the shops have old adverts.

St. Catherines.

Dr Who landed here?

Lunch was at the historic Archangel.

That's a pint of Uncle John's Bootleg Beer in front of me.

After lunch we had a walk along the river.

A lovely day out! Then it was back to Sue's for a celebration dinner and sampling of Sue's Gin cupboard for drinks on the patio by the pool.

What are they looking at now?

The fish.

You can see more of my photos here on Flickr.
