Family Reunion

It was a bit of a celebration weekend this weekend, with Dawn's birthday on Saturday and Sarah's 21st birthday today. Sarah had taken today and tomorrow off work. Rail fares for a return from Leeds leaving on Friday night were rather expensive so I drove up to Leeds to meet her after work and bring her home, but she got a ticket back to Leeds today for just £15.. We got home just about 1/2 hour before Laura, who drove up from Portsmouth for the weekend. It was the first time all of us had been together this year as Sarah went back to York before New Year!

On Saturday Dawn enjoyed her presents and I booked us a slot to visit Anglesey Abbey to see the flowers, which I had already seen last week (see here).

Here are a few other photos.

Anglesey Abbey is well worth a visit at the moment.

On Saturday night we had sushi for Dawn's birthday dinner.

Yesterday we took a trip to Nowton Park.

We found some big puffball mushrooms.

There were still a few water lilies on the pond.

Laura was going back to Portsmouth so Sarah opened her birthday presents from Laura and William at dinner. Here she is wearing the butterfly earrings.

Today Dawn was back at school, but I was able to take Sarah and William for a birthday eat-out-to-help reduced price lunch at Bill's.

Then this evening I took Sarah to Cambridge for her train back to Leeds.

It was lovely having everyone at home and catching up together. Next family milestone... William goes to York University on 28th September.

You can see more of my Anglesey Abbey Revisited photos here on Flickr.
