A Fireside Christmas

Sarah didn't get her COVID test result until 8 am yesterday morning (she was due to get it yesterday), but it was early enough for me to jump in the car and drive to Leeds to collect her. We were home by 1:30pm in time for lunch.  While I was on the road, Dawn put up the Christmas decorations. It's finally starting to feel a bit like Christmas.

One of the highlights of last Christmas was the Jazz at the Movies: A Swinging Christmas concert at the APEX. Sadly it's not happening this year, but Chris Ingham and Joanna Eden put on a mini version from Chris's Living Room in Bardwell - A Fireside Christmas. So the four of us watched it in the living room last night.

Lovely! Joanna kept her coat on most of the time as they were ensuring the room was ventilated and Chris played the guitar for a couple of pieces.

Highlight of the show, though, was the very last piece... Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Beautifully sung. I guess a lot of us will be having a Little Christmas this year. I hope yours is Merry too.
