This weekend was the latest Cyber Beer Festival from Beer52. (You can read about Cyberfest3 here). My beers arrived in the nick of time on Friday. William joined me and we sampled maybe half of the 12 beers through the evening.
All ready to go, with first beer at the ready (Jopen - Hazy Wit DIPA).
Our convivial hosts as ever were Rich and Doug (aka Hagrid)
But oh what a shambles! Their videos when they streamed them were stuttering, unintelligible and virtually unwatchable. I felt sorry for the breweries who had put their videos together for the night. Eventually the foxed that... but then lost sound to Rich and Doug! At least the Saturday night went OK, but I only dipped in and out of that.
Some very strange beers, not least the White Hag Black Forest Gateaux Pastry Stout (Friday) and Eggnog Christmas Ale (Saturday). I don't think I want to taste them again nor the Hammerton Crunch PB Stout - full of peanut butter. Yuk! But there were plenty of good ones to make up and we have over a dozen beers left to try in the run up to Christmas.
When the video streaming was eventually sorted we got some great entertainment slots on the Friday -
Ela Southgate. You can hear her set here. And on Saturday the amazing one-man band acoustic guitar playing Joncan Kavlakoglu. You can hear his set here.
The video stream of the Friday evening is available here and the Saturday here.
