Tassel Nanobrewery is in action again. As autumn is coming... and my sister-in-law and her husband, who originate from Tyneside, are coming to visit soon, I thought I'd start my Geordie Newkie Brown Ale kit I had got many months ago.
It is a part-grain kit, so first I had to create my mash from the grains, cooking it for an hour before filtering and adding to my fermentation bucket along with the bitter malt and glucose power.
And here it is in the corner of the kitchen starting to ferment.
I will have to add the hops on Wednesday and it should be ready to bottle a week on Monday. I hope it turns out OK. We'll see....
