Padron Peppers

Our first pepper crop! For the first time we have grown some Padrón Peppers.

I have bought some before and done the classic tapas recipe of charring them in olive oil. But some of these are a bit bigger. We tried one raw. The first taste was just like a green sweet pepper, but then we got to some of the white flesh. Whoa! That was hot! I'm going to enjoy using these in my cooking over the next week or so.

Meanwhile, this is the view out of the kitchen patio door.

We're going to have plenty of Jalapeño peppers soon.
