Melville Monument Walk

Today is our last day of our holiday in Comrie. Time to do the walk we couldn't do the short way up earlier in the week - a climb to the Melville monument. We parked just past the Deil's Caldron and took the gentle path to the top and back.

This was our route.

Here are a few of my photos.

Another sunny and almost cloudless day. We soon reached the path o the shaky bridge we had taken the other day.

We climbed steadily alongside the cliffs.

We were glad of the shade of the woods.

Sarah says she saw a red squirrel here, but I couldn't see it.

At the top.

We had a great view of where we had climbed the other day...

...and down to Comrie.

And then it was back down through the woods, but we didn't see any more red squirrels.

You can see more details of our route here on MapMyWalk and more of my photos here on Flickr.
