Ruchill Walk

This evening we had a short walk after our evening meal at the edge of the River Earn and along the Water of Ruchill - not the full walk in the walks leaflet, but just a short version.

The Dalginross Bridge marks the site of Comrie's first bridge over the River Earn built in 1720.

Just shortly up river is the junction of the Earn and the Ruchill, the origin of Comrie's name.

Here are a few photos.

The water level in the Ruchill looks quite low.

But one place that still looks very green is the bowling green we passed on our way back.

Well that was a busy day. We'll sleep well tonight!
