Landguard Point

It was hot today. And I had the delight of having both my daughters for company. Having done a bunch of family admin, we decided to head for the coast to get some cooler weather, so we went to Landguard Point, last visited during the Suffolk Walking Festival  Rounding the Point walk. for lunch at the Viewpoint Cafe there and a little walk around the nature reserve. The cafe was busy and we had about a 20 munute wait for the food, but there was a bit of a cooling sea breeze while we sat in the sun.

Here are a couple of photos, including a view of the port, the view across to Harwich, some sea-kale, the point, a ferry coming in, a ringed plover, some sea pea flowers and one of the many wagtails flitting about.

That was nice. A shame we had to get back to the heat of Bury St. Edmunds for a lawyer's appointment.

You can see more of my photos here on Flickr.
