Aldeburgh and Thorpeness Walk

Sarah and William were back from their tour of Italy with the Suffolk Youth Orchestra, but they had one last concert to finish things off - at the Proms at Snape Maltings, of which more anon...

Meanwhile as it was school holidays for Dawn and a non-working day for me, we left not long after we had put them on the bus to their rehearsals for an afternoon out by the sea and an early lunch.

I had found details online for a walk from Aldeburgh... Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. We set off about 2:30pm. This was our route...

No matter that we had been around Aldeburgh many times, and Thorpness a few times too, it was still a delight. Here are a few of my photos.

I liked the Pebble Homage at the South Lookout....

...and this hut with its facts about fish.

Don't let it see your chips.

Seen in the Thorpeness Emporium.
