Beer Day

Time to get the Christmas Ale brewing...

It's now sitting happily (I hope) in the fermenter in a corner of the kitchen. Let's hope the room doesn't get too hot for it! Meanwhile,  it is also tasting day for these..

The verdict?

Somewhat lively, but very fresh and refreshing. Not quite as hoppy as expected, but very tasty. 6 1/2 / 10, but could improve yet.

More gently carbonated with a strong, bitter, malty taste. Powerful stuff, it, not unexpectedly, needs more bottle-conditioning to mellow. Should be really nice by Christmas! 8 / 10. I saved the last of the bottle for Belgium scoring in the World Cup. It was a bit of a wait, but maybe I should have saved some more for the next 2 goals!
