Sheringham Park Walk

It was the last day of the half-term holidays today and I thought I'd take Dawn on a day out to visit the rhododendrons at Sheringham Park and do the wonderful walk I did with friends at the beginning of June 2019 (see here), which you can find on the National Trust site here. I managed to book us a parking slot a couple of weeks ago for 10:30 to 11 and we arrived just a few minutes early. We left our picnic stuff in the car and went straight onto the walk.

This was our route.

Our only deviation from the route was that Weybourne Station was closed so we weren't able to go through it, which was a shame. The rhododendrons, though, were at their peak and Dawn enjoyed the stretch along the coast path - especially the swathes of sea thrift and the flitting of the sand martins.

Here are a few of my photos.

As we got towards the end of our walk it started to cloud over, but we had time for our picnic before the rain came. Our timing was perfect!  A lovely day out. Highly recommended, but you need to book.

You can see more details of our route here on MapMyWalk and more of my photos here on Flickr.
