This was the result of No-Mow May in our garden, photographed yesterday. Dawn was out with the strimmer today to make hay while the sun shines, but she has left some long at the side to see what happens.
There is more than just grass in there.
There is a blackbirds' nest in the flowering hydrangea on the fence. Mr and Mrs Blackbird were soon on the grass once it had been strimmed and baby blackbird fledged today.... Dawn had to chase it out of the greenhouse.
