First Chilli Pickles of the Season

Dawn has been picking some of the chillis, which are ripening now - mostly Cowhorn peppers but also some Hungarian Yellow Wax (which, confusingly, are now red).

Here is the fruit of today's labours - 4 jars of pickled chillis (adapting the Linda Ziedrich Pickled Whole Chillis recipe I had used before but chopping the chillis) and 1 jar of Piri-Piri sauce using this recipe by Antony Worrall Thompson from the BBC Food website.

We'll have to leave the pickled chillis for a few weeks before trying, but Piri-piri chicken is on the menu this coming week!
