Paul.in.London was over from New York, so suggested a meet-up at our usual venue, The George in Borough High Street.
He promised not to talk about baseball, so seven of us assembled, including Peter Biddlecombe, the Sunday Times Crossword Editor. He also writes some of the general knowledge crosswords in The Sunday Times, and cryptic crosswords for the Times Literary Supplement, for which he is also the crossword editor. He is also the founder of TimesforTheTimes. Others there, apart from myself, were Paul.in.London, David1, Boltonwanderer, Pootle and JerryW. David managed to get us a table upstairs where we were well waited on, and didn't have to queue at the bar.

We had a great time and I enjoyed getting the chance to talk to Peter B.
