ReplyDeleteThanks, always good to see which clues are enjoyed
DeleteOops, somehow Publish got hit by mistake. Meant to say Thanks, Sawbill and John- great entertainment! (now I can push Publish).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sawbill, I enjoyed this. Some nice surfaces.
ReplyDeleteThanks. As you may know, I put the surface at the top of my wish list whether I am setting or solving.
ReplyDeleteFirst timer kind of losing my virginity on a Saturday! … delighted to get it out. A very fair QC. Thanks
ReplyDeleteThanks for trying it. Let us know each time how you did (and we did).
DeleteThanks vm, Sawbill and John. Had to look up ideas for ‘tense’ but otherwise walked on through OK.
ReplyDeleteFOI PECAN , LOI MOUNTAINEER.
Liked AS YOU LIKE IT, ATHENA, HIGHLIGHT.
Good stuff.
Countrywoman
Thank you. AS YOU LIKE IT was my favourite, while I was most nervous about HIGHLIGHT and IMPERFECT.
ReplyDeleteStruggled to get going with FOI Pecan but it then flowed smoothly. My highlight was 1ac. Originally got 2d the wrong way round. Commander was last in. Thanks for a gentle but enjoyable workout.
ReplyDeleteRubeculaw
Thank you. I am glad that you found it gentle. My fear is always that I have made it too difficult.
DeleteA most enjoyable puzzle, all done in 10 minutes. But that hides a slow start as I stalled on most of the acrosses in the upper part of the grid, and it was only when the downs started to go in that I was able to complete the top half.
ReplyDeleteLOI was Orlando, where I was slow to see land = light and I needed the Os at both ends to be sure. Some excellent surfaces throughout - 18a and 20a, for example, and 4d. But just one query - advantage = pro?
Many thanks Sawbill for an excellent puzzle.
Cedric
Thanks Cedric, you are my benchmark with regard to difficulty. Pros and cons as in advantages and disadvantages.
ReplyDeleteOf course. Thank you.
DeleteEnjoyed after a slow start, particularly liked As You Like It, overrun, and oddly highlight was a highlight. Thanks. Chris and Fran
ReplyDeleteThanks. Obviously I shouldn't have fretted over HIGHLIGHT while setting.
DeleteEnjoyable outing but a breeze block DNF on Exmoor. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThanks Andrew. Sorry that you fell at the last. It happens to me quite frequently in the 15 x 15 (like today).
