Starling Murmuration Revisited.

 
Today I got Dawn up early and we went to see if we could see the starling murmuration at Lackford Lakes, as I did in Monday (see here).

This time we were a bit earlier and it was only just getting light when we got to the viewing platform. We had to wait nearly 45 minutes for the action.

The take off was sudden and without warning. As they did the other day, they all rose, circled round a bit and then settled back down.

Then about 5 minutes later they rose again.

Lovely to see. Dawn was well impressed!
